Katamari Damacy Reroll is an incredibly fun experience! I played a little bit of the originial Katamari Damacy when it was on my Playstation 3, but I was never really able to get into it because I never had the time to give the game the attention it deserved. When I heard that the game was coming to the Switch,however, I knew it was my chance to jump back in, and boy did I make the right choice! In Katamarti Damacy you play as the Prince and your goal is to clean up your father’s mess. You see your father is the King of All Cosmos and he may have made the teensy weensy mistake of destroying all stars in the sky and he tasks you to fix it. How you ask? By rolling up everything on earth with a big sticky ball of course!
The surreal art style and sense of humor is the first thing that stood out to me, and I really liked it. The game looks very simple but it has a very unique charm that helps it stand apart from the crowd. While the art style is good, it’s the gameplay that I’ve really grown to love. You use your left and right sticks to push your katamari around to pick up things, and as you pick up things your ball grows bigger enabling you to pick up bigger objects. All in all it is a very simple game with a lot of charm, and at 30 dollars I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone wanting a fun relaxing time!
